The 381 Club: Accessibility Statement
The RAFA 381 Club is committed to ensuring that our services, facilities, and digital content are accessible to everyone, including members of the RAF family and the wider Bognor Regis community with disabilities or mobility requirements.
1. Physical Accessibility (19 Waterloo Square)
We want all members and guests to feel welcome and comfortable at our club. Our premises offer the following features:
Level Access: The main entrance to the club is designed to be accessible for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility.
Internal Navigation: The bar, lounge area, and function spaces are situated to allow for easy movement.
Accessible Facilities: We provide accessible toilet facilities on-site that are compliant with standard requirements.
Parking: While the club is located in a pedestrian-friendly area of Waterloo Square, there are public disabled parking bays nearby to facilitate easy access to the entrance.
Assistance Dogs: Fully trained assistance dogs are welcome throughout the club premises.
We aim to make our website accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We are working toward a goal of conforming to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
Navigation & Use
On our website, you should be able to:
Zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen.
Navigate most of the website using just a keyboard.
Navigate most of the website using speech recognition software.
Listen to most of the website using a screen reader.
Current Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, we acknowledge that some parts of the site may not be fully optimized:
Some older PDF documents (such as archived newsletters or membership forms) may not be fully accessible to screen reader software.
Some third-party elements, such as embedded maps or social media feeds, may have accessibility barriers outside of our direct control.
